Pregnant & POstpartum Women

At Changing the Game Physical Therapy, we specialize in guiding women through the transformative postpartum phase, offering a holistic approach to their well-being. Our services are tailored to support postpartum women on their journey to return to an active lifestyle, addressing specific concerns such as urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and more. Our comprehensive offerings, including holistic physical therapy, dry needling, manual therapy, lymphatic drainage cupping, pelvic floor physical therapy, and visceral manipulation, are designed to provide personalized care.

We go beyond traditional physical therapy by helping women reconnect with their creative bowl, also known as the pelvic bowl, fostering a deeper understanding of their bodies and assisting them in returning to their greater purpose. Our goal is to empower and support women during this crucial phase, ensuring a smooth and confident transition into a fulfilling and active life after childbirth.

Whether you just had a baby, or your baby is 10 years old, postpartum will always be a part of our bodies. Our postpartum needs do not end when our baby hits their first birthday, we can continue to benefit from physical therapy at any stage.

Injuries can be common amongst the athletic population. And after an injury, there are various factors to consider prior to returning to sport. For women, a therapist with a specialized understanding of women athletes will insure better outcomes in recovery and rehabilitation.

Pain, swelling, range of motion, body mechanics, pelvic pressure, and strength should be assessed in the female athlete. This way, not only is the current issue being treated, but a holistic approach is being used to reduce the risk of future injury.

Changing the Game is unique in that our therapist comes to you in your home to administer your therapy or you can come to my home office setting. And, we are unique in that our therapist specializes in return-to-sport for women and mothers.

 Total Body Lymphatic Cupping

Your lymphatic system is part of your immune system and its importance is often overlooked by physicians, obstetricians, and physical therapists. This system is crucial for your health because it rids the body of illness-causing invaders, maintains body fluid levels, absorbs digestive tract fats and removes cellular waste.

Regular lymphatic cupping helps improve your immunity because it helps to increase your lymphatic output. Cupping stretches open, rather than closing the lymphatic vessels.

Ideal for people experiencing:

  • chronic fatigue

  • chronic swelling

  • hormone related migraines

  • post-operative swelling

  • post liposuction

  • swelling following abdominoplasty (tummy-tuck) or mommy makeovers
